5 Shopping Tips To Avoid Bad Purchases.

I might not be good at too much, but saving money is something I’m completely and totally anal about. My family has taken to calling me “Fishhooks,” suggesting I line my pockets with sharp objects in order to resist the strong desire to reach in and pull out some cold hard cash whenever something at the store catches my eye. The truth is, I just use my head when I’m at the mall and don’t let the sales traps get to me. Whenever faced with the hope of/future of buying something, I usually go through at least a few of these thoughts before making my decision. Let’s have a look at 5 Shopping Tips To Avoid Bad Purchases:

1. Calculate how much work it would take to pay for the item.

This is a big one. Whenever you are going to shop for any dress or any other stuff, just look at that and this does it meaningful or worth it buying. Shop on extremely important things u need not on the basis of the likes. If you spend money on those things which are (without any point or purpose) or you are not going to use, that’s a waste of money and time. So, whenever you go on shopping calculate how much that thing is going to be used or work for you and then pay for that item.

2. Get rid of your credit cards.

Credit card debt is a huge problem for a lot of people, not just shopaholics. However, they post a bigger problem for those with bad spending habits. Swiping a card or entering a card number online is so easy that it really leads to bad decisions. Focus on paying down any debts you have and get rid of the credit card!

3. Identify the real need.

Before you buy something new because you are bored, sad, frustrated, or even celebrating, identify the real need. How do you want to feel? What could you do besides shopping to feel that way? For instance, if you are frustrated, would taking a walk to provide some relief?

4. Gratitude.

If you aren’t happy with what you have, you won’t be happy with what you get. More stuff doesn’t equal more happiness. Keep a thankfulness journal or make thankfulness part of your morning practice by silently admitting/recognizing/responding to a few things in your life that you are thankful for. As the saying goes, it’s not happiness that makes us thankful, but thankfulness that makes us happy.

When you do stop shopping, don’t judge your past behavior. (see/hear/become aware of) it, but resist making judgments or feeling bad about it. You’ve already paid enough. You’ve paid with your money, time, attention, energy, and feelings of love, hate, fear, etc. You don’t have to continue paying with guilt or other negative feelings of love, hate, fear, etc. If you’ve decided that this is the time to stop shopping and regret a recent (instance of buying something for money), remember … you can return that.

5. Watch your excuses.

If shopping extremely (too much) is part of your daily life, when you stop, you’ll find excuses to shop. From gifts to convincing yourself that you need something new for an upcoming event, to just in case shopping, it won’t be hard to find a loophole. Simply pay attention and when excuses come up, revisit yours why.

Before you think about/believe how to stop shopping, it will help to  understand why you want to stop shopping or to decide if you need to stop shopping at all. We hope this article will helps you to not spend unnecessarily.
